Professor Lu received MD in 2001 and Ph.D. in 2006 from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine，Senior visiting professor at University of Cambridge. She is currently a Professor and a PhD student supervisor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, and serves as the director of Research Center at Shanghai Chest Hospital. Professor Lu is the vice chairman of Shanghai Immunogenetics Society， Shanghai Pujiang Scholar Program, Shanghai Shu Guang Scholar, Shanghai Rising-Star Program Scholar.
Her primary research areas include lung cancer immunotherapy, tumor microenvironment and immune escape, epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT), cancer stem cell and metastasis, immune regulation in lung transplantation. In the last few years, she has developed research and technology platforms at the Shanghai Chest Hospital including genomics, proteomics, tumor immunotherapy, molecular pathology, cell culture and metabolism, and animal diseases model and drug screen. These platforms serve the Hospital for clinical and basic researches.
As the principle member of the medical immunology teaching team at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, she teaches integrated courses of Principles of Immunology and Cellular Immunology. In addition, she has been supervising Research Basic Learning (RBL) program and Problem Basic Learning (PBL) program for the last ten years, which won several prizes at national and Shanghai medical graduate innovation completion forum. She has co-author editing textbooks, including "Principle of Immunology ", "Textbook of Immunology", "Tumor immunology" and "Medical Immunology". etc. "Principle of Immunology" is the designated text book for graduate students by Ministry of Education.
Professor Lu has completed 8 research grants funded by National and Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, and has published a number of research papers in national and international scientific journals including Nature, Journal of Immunology, Clinic Immunology, Nucleic Acids Research, Current Opinion in Genetics & Development, Stem cells, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Journal of Leukocyte Biology, Immunology etc.. She is Executive Editor-in-Chief of Current Immunology.
