Giuseppe Marulli, MD, PhD

Prof. Giuseppe Marulli received his MD degree from University of Bari (Italy), School of Medicine in 2000. Subsequently, he completed his residency in Thoracic Surgery at the University of Padova (Italy) in 2005 and received the PhD in Cardiovascular Science at the University of Padova (2009). Consultant in Thoracic Surgery since 2008, currently he is Associate Professor in Thoracic Surgery at the University of Padua.
Prof. Marulli is Author and co-author of more than 100 full papers on indexed international journal, 10 book chapters and more than 150 abstracts (H-index: 19, total number of Citations 1249, Total Impact Factor: 336,624, Mean Impact Factor: 3.470 on Scopus). Participation at several national and international meetings as invited speaker. Winner of several National and International prizes. Teacher and tutor: International ESOT course: “the donor surgeon”. EACTS foundation course: “Thoracic surgery part II” (until 2015).
Prof. Marulli is member of the following scientific societies: EACTS (European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery), ESTS (European Society of Thoracic Surgeons), SPIGC (Polispecialistic Italian Society of Young Surgeons), SIET (Italian Society of Thoracic Endoscopy), SICT (Italian Society of Thoracic Surgery).
His main research interests include: lung and mediastinal surgery, surgery of lung metastases, robotic and mini-invasive surgery, lung transplantation, laser and experimental surgery.
